Celebrate First Nations culture, connection and community with the Dolphins 2025 Men's Indigenous Rugby League Jersey.

Designed by acclaimed Sunshine Coast artist Lyndon Davis, a Traditional Custodian of the Gubbi Gubbi / Kabi Kabi people, this special-edition jersey features artwork from The Calling of the Dolphins.

The 2025 design represents the third and final chapter of the Dolphins' original three-year Indigenous jersey series. The artwork celebrates the deep cultural connections between First Nations peoples, Country and buangan — the in-language name for dolphins.

The striking design combines a warm ochre-coloured body with vibrant red, cream and black artwork. Its intricate patterns reflect the stories and connections of the Traditional Owners across the Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast and Brisbane regions.

The 2025 edition features black elements representing the Turrbal and Yuggera peoples of the south and west, as well as the rich soils of Meanjin's river plains.

Made by Classic Sportswear, this jersey features 100% polyester fabric, moisture-wicking technology and an athletic fit. Finished with the Dolphins club crest, NRL branding and sponsor details, it is a meaningful addition to any Dolphins supporter collection.

Cultural Design Story

The artwork The Calling of the Dolphins celebrates the longstanding relationship between First Nations peoples and dolphins.

The story draws on an ancient fishing practice in Quandamooka Country, where Aboriginal people used water percussion and sounds made along the sandstone shoreline to call dolphins. The dolphins would help guide schools of mullet towards the shore, where people were waiting to catch them.

The three-year jersey series shares different parts of this commissioned artwork:

  • 2023: Red elements representing the Gubbi Gubbi / Kabi Kabi and Ningyningy peoples of the north.

  • 2024: Gold elements representing the Quandamooka people, Minjerribah and the golden sands of the region.

  • 2025: Black elements representing the Turrbal and Yuggera peoples and the rich soils of Meanjin's river plains.

Together, the three jerseys celebrate the enduring connections between First Nations peoples, Country and buangan.
